The Woman Behind The Tennis Tea.

Hey, I'm Shaheen!
I'm a CPCC-certified coach, an EMBA, and
a woman who picked up a tennis racquet at 40 because I loved the skirts and needed something that was completely mine.

What I found changed my life. And now I'm here to help it change yours.

The first time I stepped on a court I could barely hit the ball over the net.

But something clicked.

Within a year I was on a team. Within two I was on three. Now I'm on five competitive USTA teams — and I'm playing the best tennis of my life at 51.

Tennis didn't just give me a sport. It gave me the closest friendships I've ever had, a competitive fire I didn't know I had, and a reason to buy entirely too many tennis skirts.

I played softball in high school, but tennis? That was a completely different world.

I had zero athletic background.

But it wasn't all sunshine and champagne toasts.

There were seasons I walked away from the sport completely.

The competition got in my head. The drama was too much. The comparing, the politics, the partner dynamics — I let it consume me to the point where I had to step off the court just to protect my sanity.

And when I came back, I came back different. I stopped playing to prove something. I started playing because I loved it.

I built the tools I wished someone had given me — and then I built the business around sharing them.

Here's the part I almost didn't share.

The year I almost quit for good wasn't because I was bad at tennis. It was because competition stress was making me miserable.

I would show up to matches already spiraling. I'd play one bad game and fall apart. I'd replay every mistake on the drive home. I was so in my head that I couldn't enjoy the thing I loved.

I'm a certified life coach. I knew how mindset worked. And I still couldn't get out of my own way on the court.

That's the gap nobody talks about. Your coach can fix your backhand. She cannot fix what's happening in your head between points.

So I went to work. I pulled from everything I knew about emotional regulation, performance psychology, and mindset — and I built a framework that actually held up under match pressure.

That's what became Calm on Court. And that's what The Tennis Tea is built on.

WHAT I BELIVE

I believe tennis in midlife is one of the most powerful things a woman can do for herself.
I believe the mental and emotional side of this sport matters just as much as your backhand.
I believe you're never too old, too out of shape, or too late to start.
I believe "stop being so hard on yourself" should be printed on every tennis bag.
And I believe every woman deserves a community of people who understand why she cares this much about a sport.

AT A GLANCE

What I bring to the court

( Besides too many skirts )

CPCC — Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (one of the most rigorous coach training programs in the world)

EMBA

Started playing at 40 with zero athletic background

5 competitive USTA league teams

Built a multi-six-figure coaching business and helped thousands of women find their confidence

Creator of Calm on Court, Match Ready, and The Tennis Tea Club

And most importantly: a woman who gets it because she lives it every single week.

I didn't come from tennis.
I came from life.

Before The Tennis Tea, I had a whole career.

I started in the corporate world — ambitious, driven, and doing everything you're supposed to do.
Eventually I walked away and built my own business from scratch, growing it to multiple six figures through programs, coaching, and strategy work.

Along the way I earned an EMBA and a CPCC — one of the most rigorous professional coach certifications in the world. I've worked with entrepreneurs, executives, and women in transition. I've helped people leave careers that weren't theirs anymore and build something that actually fit.

I also lived in Paris. Worked with people in the film and music industry. Rebuilt my life more than once after chapters that tried to take me out.

I tell you this not to impress you — but because it matters for what I built here.
The Tennis Tea isn't a hobby project. It's the product of a woman who knows how to build something real, who has spent decades helping others find their confidence and their voice, and who happens to be completely obsessed with this sport.

Before all of this

let's work together
