Master your mental game. With women who love this sport as much as you do
I picked up a tennis racquet at 40.
I didn't know anyone who played.. I just had a deep feeling that this sport was meant for me (plus I loved the skirts!)
Within a year I had a whole new friend group, a new identity, and a reason to take care of my body that didn't feel like punishment. Tennis changed my life in ways I didn't see coming.
But nobody warned me about the other part.
"The anxiety. The self-doubt. The spiral after a bad game. The drive home in silence. The politics, the drama, the way you can love a sport so much it starts to hurt you."
I was a certified life coach with decades of experience helping women find their confidence — and I still nearly quit tennis because of the mental weight of it. My coach could fix my forehand. Nobody could fix what was happening in my head.
So I built it myself. The mental game tools, the honest conversations, the community where you can finally say the things you can't say in your team group chat.
That's The Tennis Tea Club.
You love this sport. And it's also living rent-free in your head.
01
You play great in practice and fall apart in matches.
You know exactly what you're capable of. But the moment it counts, something shifts. You start overthinking every shot, getting in your own head, being harder on yourself than you'd ever be on anyone else. And then you drive home in silence, replaying every single point.
02
Your coach can fix your forehand. She can't fix this.
The spiraling. The comparing. Getting in your own way the second the pressure is on. The anxiety before matches. Your brain becomes your biggest opponent — and nobody's teaching us how to deal with it.
03
You can't say any of this to your tennis friends.
They're also your teammates. Your captain is in the group chat. So you smile and say "it's just a game" and carry it home alone. Again.
04
The partner drama. The captain politics. The lineup anxiety.
You love your team. You also want to throw your racket in the group chat sometimes. And there is absolutely nowhere to talk about it.
05
Or maybe you're just STARTING— and it's more overwhelming than you expected.
The anxiety of being new, the fear of looking stupid, the feeling that everyone else already knows each other. You want in. You just need a safe place to figure it out.

Instead of waking up with that familiar knot in your stomach — you have a plan.
You know exactly what to do with the nerves. You have a pre-match routine that actually works. And when you walk off that court — win or lose — you're not spiraling.
You're processing. You're growing.
You're already excited about the next one.
That's what working on your mental game actually feels like.
And in here, we do it together. Every month a new theme. Every week a real conversation. Women who get it, tools that work, and a place where you can finally say the things you can't say in your team group chat.
Welcome to The Tennis Tea Club.
